Risen from the underground of Holland, and with roots in South America, DJ Pygar takes you on an intergalactic trip with tunes from all over the universe.

It was the early teens of the 20th century when Axel and Spamky formed Pattern Cutoff, a funky elektro-punk band from the West Coast of Holland. Soon this duo attracted a third, Mr. Bling. Pattern Cutoff played band nights, goa raves, squats, museums, in castles and catacombs, at punk parties and on Queensday, on the radio and in bunkers. This is where Pygar's egg hatched; due to the DIY sense in the underground community, there was space to fool around and DJ at shows.
Pygar's name comes from the cult-classic film Barbarella, where Jane Fonda is the peace-keeper of the universe. With the help of the blind angel Pygar, she defeats the evil scientist Duran Duran.
